Ternary plot, has three coordinate axes. Unlike rectangular coordinate system, its three coordinate axes are connected end to end to form an equilateral triangle with an included angle of 60 degrees. Ternary diagram is mainly used to show the proportion of three components in different samples. In microbial diversity analysis, ternary phase diagram can show the relative abundance of species in different groups. In the ternary phase diagram, different points represent different species, the size of the points represents the average abundance of the species in different groups, the gray points represent non-enrichment, and the points of each color represent the enriched groups respectively.

2. Application scope:

It is applicable to transcriptome, metabolome, protein, 16S and other data suitable for drawing Ternary Plot.

3. Input

(1) The data table is a file that must be input, which can be a gene expression table, which can be plotted according to the marked content. When the information of the Focus is input, a ternary map of the distribution of the focus is generated. (2) Focus: mark the concerned species, enter the name of the concerned species, and mark other if not concerned. )

(2) The grouping table is a file that must be entered, and the number of groups of ternary diagram is 3. The names of the three groups and the samples in the group should be written in the grouping table. Note that this file must have a header, and you can refer to the sample file.

(3) The sum of data in all groups must be greater than 0.

(4) All forms are in txt format saved by tab-delimited.

Description of uploaded file format: the format is as follows. The data must be separated by tab characters. You can choose to open it in Excel and save it as a. txt file separated by tab key.

Set task number: enter an identifiable number name; if not, the default number will be used.

4. Output

Graphic title and font can be modified. You can check the parameters such as display coordinate scale, auxiliary line inside graph, legend, coordinate axis direction, etc., and also check the point size normalization (Z-score method)

A.group: the input data line name (species name, gene name, protein name, etc.)

B. Columns 2-4: Average value of input data in three groups

C.Ave: mean value of corresponding data in three groups

D.Enrich: whether it is the concerned information in the figure (other are not shown one by one in the legend)

E. the last three columns: the proportion information of the corresponding data in the three groups (i.e., the coordinates in the ternary diagram)
